Delivering up freaking hilarity like never before, Fringecast returns for a 45 minute special on weddings. Hey, it’s the season, right?
Tim, Joe, and Sara Z are all here with host Jeremiah Lewis (that’s me!) to bring you a pile of laughs, like dirty socks, on such things as Tyler Perry’s name on every movie belonging to black America, Jake Gyllenhaal as the black hole of talent and charisma, and how willing Sara is to let her fiance Joe tongue kiss Kirsten Dunst for a full five minutes.
Yes, that’s right. She gave the okay for him to make out with a snaggle-toothed troll.
Well, as marriages go, it should be an interesting one, and we get down to the dirty and gory details of wedding planning, the dos and don’t's of speaking your mind if you’re a guy, and of course, there’s the ubiquitous movie trailer for a film called Delivery Free or Die Hard. It’s a soon to not be Christmas classic fun for the whole family.
So sit down, grab a burrito, give yourself a nice little footbath, and listen to the latest and greatest thing on the Internet.
The iTunes feed is the easiest way to keep in touch with Fringecast at the moment. However, you can also access the full episode directly in mp3 format. The Fringecast XML feed is available through a feed reader. All shows are archived by date, and can be accessed here.
Merry Christmas!

S’marvelous. S’wonderful. S’Fringecast.
That is right, gentle and wrinkled people of warm and cold climes. Fringecast has returned. Amazingly, we’ve noticed nearly a 100% drop in listenership (is that a word?) since we stopped airing Fringecast nearly a year ago. Seriously, where’s the love? Did you abandon us?
Sadly, that drop corresponds to just about the exact moment I took a full time job of servitude in the breast implant industry.
Thankfully, I have returned to the unfettered realm of freelance, and so we bring first to the docket a meandering and slightly edited discussion of all things trivial and nonessential, including our group haircut experience, Tim’s Bank of America fiasco (wherein he writes them an angry letter and nothing comes of it) and a frank and earnest discussion of breast implants. We also offer an improv segment from Tim and Joe.
Apparently, improv is the same thing as Fringecast.
The iTunes feed will get you what you’re looking for if you can’t download the episode directly in mp3 format.

Just when you thought life couldn’t get any worse, the Fringe crew has returned with almost an hour of content-free Fringe entertainment designed to kill brain cells almost as fast as the alcohol we consumed to make the episode! Featuring Joe Blum, Tim Fescoe, and moi, your straight-laced host Jeremiah Lewis, this episode marks our one year and one month birth, which is cause for discussion of everything but the significance of the occasion, which is great, but not earth-shattering great.
We commence with a meandering discussion of St. Patrick’s Day festivities, mostly revolving around a drinking game and the not-well-known sequel to The Wizard of Oz, leading directly into the ever popular subject of hobos, this time with a new concept that is sure never to launch within six months, HoboStruggling.com. A previous discussion of NCAA basketball causes us to discuss bracketing for all of life’s major decisions, and then we just go nuts.
Leprechauns versus Clowns, who would win? We bring back vampires and pull in the munchkins for an all-fantasy bracket brawl that results in much heated debate, but not much in the way of a consensus. We talk to Tim Shabanowitz, our recurring phone guest, and then end with how Murphy’s Law ruined my life.
The iTunes feed is a great addition to your morning’s activities, but if you want you can download the episode directly in mp3 format.

In the wake of getting a new job, Jeremiah discovers that his new zipperless pants make going to the bathroom a difficult proposition. This leads to the natural conclusion that boxers makers have discriminated against lefties. Joe brings up celebrity sell-outs–big names discussed are Adam and Eve–and then he brings two green guests in for a special interview.
If you’re missing out on Bollywood renditions of current television hits, your search can now end. And we end with a discussion of this year’s Oscar picks and why none of them are going to win anything. If you thought we were weird before, this will confirm it.
The iTunes feed is highly recommended, though you can also download the episode directly in mp3 format.

To celebrate the millennium, we here at Fringecast decided that nothing but an extravagant, balls-to-the-wall all out Fringefest was needed to ring everything in all good and proper-like. So we’ve packed an hour’s worth of content into one amazingly spiffy casting session, complete with a movie trailer AND a commercial. Can you believe we do this for free? Somebody shoot us.
This episode features a frank discussion about mistletoe, so next year you won’t be caught unaware. We also muse about fathers and their particular mode of dress after hitting that mid-life crisis, we call up Tim Shabanowitz for a discussion of the weather in Denver, including the differences between El Nino and La Nina (Columbus and Jack Daniels enter the picture here). We also fantasize about whose celebrity organs we would like to see donated to science, and discuss whether villains and criminals should be allowed to donate their organs, since they’re all evil and they might live on…
Along with a trailer for the romantic drama “When Frogs Squeal” and a commercial for Try-A-Guy (r), this is pretty much the best we’ve ever done. And that’s not saying much at all.
The iTunes feed kicks serious butt (plus we can track it). But if you’re a Luddite, you can also download the episode directly in mp3 format. The Fringecast XML feed is available through a feed reader. All shows are archived by date, and can be accessed on the right hand sidebar.

Our 20th episode is packed with extra goodness as we lament the fact that the number 20 is so maligned in our culture due to its unfortunate placement between the age of consent and the age of drinking. So we’ve provided more content than usual to celebrate this very special number. What follows are musings on the emotional state of vampires, debate on the term “on the wagon,” and a frank discussion on Taco Bell’s recent e. Coli outbreak. We also discover that the Santa Ana winds bring both magic and crime, and Sean Connery graces us with his presence to discuss Indy 4.
If it sounds too awesome for you to handle, we’ve even got a special trailer for Snakes On A Space Shuttle. Need I say more? Oh, but I will.

Number nineteen comes at you like a bullet train, and this one packs more punch than a political pundit at a party poking puppies with a pickle. Indeed, it’s the week after the election, and so we discuss politics with Washington D.C. correspondent Greg Piper, who discusses non-voting, free speech and porn, and new methods for voting judges into seats (hint: it involves pennies in socks).
Presidential history is big on our minds, as our discussion of the coolness of Calvin Coolidge reaches truly epic depths, and then we compare the size and variation of the words “skoch” and “smidgen,” followed by wireless blood transfusions and breast implants.
Sounds juicy, right? It is. In this amazing Fringecast, we discuss non-violent, peaceful terrorism, guerilla weddings, why guys like long hair on chicks, a Coors Light beer commercial that seems unaware of its rather confusing beer accolades, Amish who pimp their buggies, and the boys review Jeremiah’s new book based on its cover alone.
It’s too good to miss. Check out the iTunes feed and bless the server with your hit.

If there’s such as a thing as blog blasphemy, Joe commits it within the first few moments of our second segment in which we discuss the legitimacies of the claim “more money than God.” But before that, we bring Hooker back for a post-firing/re-hiring discussion, and he insults his new boss. New boss, it’s spelled H-O-O-K-E-R, and no, it’s not an escort service. It’s your new employee, and he’s trouble.
Then it’s onto a discussion about a new bank for goods such as beer bottles, DVDs, and Joe’s hair, which then becomes an ontological query into the nature of the Tooth Fairy, including geographical scope of said Fairy’s domain. A trailer for The Resentfulness is sure to make you wet your pants in fear and awesomeness, and we end by letting Joe talk about his lifelong dream.
Clearly, these are topics that can’t be ignored. So jump on iTunes and download before all the bandwidth is stripped to nothing. You may also download it directly in mp3 format.

It’s not every day you get a chance to spar with the best and come out on top. But with this Fringecast, Joe and I do that, squaring off with such diverse topics as retro weather reporting and the ethics of finding money on the street or in the woods, with the eventual but inevitable question “What would Jesus do?” entering the fore with surprising results. The answer involves slurpees and hobos, in case you were wondering. I have an interview with Jenny Chowdhury and Cory Forsyth regarding their prescient Popularity Dialer, which we discussed on a previous podcast and which they bravely set out to create and support out of pocket. Finally, we discuss alternatives to the term “The Man”, eventually deciding on “The Awesome” as an acceptable substitute.
If you fancy yourself a boxer and care to dance in the ring with us and these fiendishly simple (yet complex) topics, tune into iTunes and listen like you’ve never listened before, or download it directly in mp3 format. You may also access the Fringecast XML feed through a feed reader. All shows are archived by date, and can be accessed on the right hand sidebar.
Music was provided for free by the Podshow Podsafe Music Network, which is PPMN, or “peppy men” for short.
