As promised, though a day late, is the title sequence I’ve been working on for the past month. The short film is about three coworkers at a coffee shop called Grounds Zero. The sequence runs just over a minute and includes a hybrid of hand drawn artwork, computer vector art created from scratch, and animated in After Effects.

UPDATE: The video may take a bit of time to load up. Sorry for the delay.
UPDATE 2: YouTube’s upload service was slower than molasses in Fargo in January. Uphill. So I’ve embedded the file myself. Enjoy.
UPDATE 3: I didn’t like the embedded look, so it’s now linked to open in a separate window.
mmm… caffeine…
hey, i really like the style of the illustrations. good work!
Thanks Travis.
Very fabulous.
Hey, this is a great sequence, just wondering if I could have one or two stills from it as i’m writin a thesis on Image/ text relation on Title sequences, and your’s worked really well. I would also like to include it as one of my examples, with full analysis, and if possible some quotes from you and any critique you may have recievd? My essay will include all referencing to you, your name, and your site, if you give me permission.
Thank you
hey i tried emailing you but it wouldn’t send lol
First of all:
Thank you!
Well all i need to know is the process and techniques of making the sequence, any personal views you have on the display of each credit and any inspiration you had to make it. And any critique you received from anyone else.
Also could u send me a screen shot of each credit.
Much appreciated.

Dear Sir
My name is Alan Stuart. I have an invention I named “Grounds Zero”. When I approached Invention Submission Corporation in 2001; I could only find one reference to “Grounds Zero”, a coffee shop in San Fransisco (Calif,USA). According to information at that time the shop was no longer in operation.
My invention prevents coffee grounds from passing by a filter in a drip coffee maker. I see no conflict with your movie and only wish to make you aware of my invention. I wish you the best of luck.
Sincerely;
Alan R. Stuart
