Lauren notes that “blog” is the number one word of the year, according to Merriam-Webster. I’ve been a proud blogger for almost two years, and I believe I’ve inspired, at least indirectly, at least two other people to to take up the practice. And whatever that nets me in the here and now, I’m just happy to have the forum and audience that I do. Fringe allows me a more strident voice than I typically allow myself in other, public settings; it’s a very freeing medium.
