I have enacted stricter policy requirements for commenting, as I have received over 1500 comments over the last three days from spam distributors. Having a lax comment moderation policy has caused a lot of headache for me, much like a screaming baby in a restaurant (Helpful parenting tip from a non-parent: DON’T TAKE YOUR SCREAMING FREAKING KID TO A RESTAURANT, OR ANY OTHER PUBLIC PLACE!!).
Hopefully, things will remains transparent to you. Please let me know if you have trouble commenting, either through standard cookies-based “remember me” technology, or the TypeKey registration system (which I suspect I’m still having some issues with).
All this is somewhat moot, as I will be redesigning Fringe for the new year, including updates to the way people can comment on certain posts. All for later, my preciousssss.
So in the meantime, please alert me to any problems you encounter with the comments. I’m here for you. Truly.
comment sections look the same to me, dude…
Will the new policy involve imbedded microchips or anything like that? I can’t stand the sight of blood you know….
In Trepidation….
Y.
;-)
No blood, no needles, no microchips. You’re safe, for now…
Oh, and Geoff: that’s a good thing. I was hoping you wouldn’t notice any changes.
Last week I tried a gazillion (3) times to comment on your National Treasure review and it never worked. Boo!
Weird. So I got your “first time commenting” page for this very article though I’ve commented plenty before and even just two seconds (or more) ago. Unless that’s just your sick sick joke. *checks calendar* Anywho, you have no styles applied to the aformentioned page.
