Rest In Peace

RIP Yasser Arafat (1929 – 2004)

I only use requiescat in pace in the loosest of ways. I doubt he’s in peace. And I, for one, will not miss him.
Also, RIP Intifada II, which, with its progenitor lying in state, is also no more.
UPDATE: More on Arafat’s legacy, his death, and how he will be remembered.
UPDATE: The farce of Arafat’s life and death.

  1. I especially liked the first article. I never could understand the world’s hypocrisy on this man. It’s a given fact that he committed these terror atrocity (olympics). Why was he lavished with all this praise? Why did anyone think he deserved the title of “partner in peace”? Lost in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is what the PLO did to my country, Lebanon, a few decades ago. In Lebanon, everyone used to call him “KHarafat”. Khara == Shit in arabic. RIP? I think RIH would be more appropriate.
