Christopher Reeve died yesterday of heart failure. He was 52.
I didn’t particularly care for Reeve’s politics, but then again, I don’t most celebrities’. However, he was the Man of Steel, though not the first, and the Man of Steel always fought for the right things, including the American way. That’s a superhero I can get behind.

Although he disliked people refering to him as a hero or a super man for his post-accident actions. I heard him say this in an NPR interview about a week before he died.
Then the morning after he died, I turned on CNN Headline News, and the beautiful Robin Meade declaired “That he was a Superman both on and off camera”. I just kind of shook my head.
And on another slightly off topic, if he fights for the American Way, does that make Supes a republican?
