Freemuslims.org apologizes for 9/11, for Darfur, for Beslan, Madrid, and countless other acts of barbarism and terrorism. This is by far the single most responsible thing I’ve heard a Muslim say in the past three years. Sad that the sentiments of this writer are not echoed by all of Islam.
It is a start, though. Bravo to that.

That is the most dangerous thing I have ever seen in my life. Who are these people? They sound like a subversive propaganda wing for Foxnews. These people do not speak, nor do they represent the Muslim world. That could be just one guy running a website for crying out loud. Most muslims are peace abiding. It is only those on the ‘fringe’, the fundamentalist, that give the entire faith a bad name. Add that to the biased news coverage of the western media outlets and you have one giant Molotov cocktail. I think that you will find that Christian fundamentalist and Muslim fundamentalist have more in common with each other than they do with the rest of the moderate world. It is a basic political science model.
J.Q.C.: dude!, how is that dangerous?…how is admitting that there IS in fact a fringe element identifying itself as “of your faith” a dangerous thing?…
as a Christian, i am offended & ashamed by a lot of things that are perpetrated by self-proclaimed, self-righteous ‘Christians’ (abortion clinic bombings/murders, the KKK, Pat Buchanan, etc.)…i don’t deny that they are weirdos calling themselves Christians…rather i denounce their acts & attitudes and try to conduct myself in a way that is pleasing to God, in line with His Word & His Will, and a true representation of what Christianity is supposed to be…i don’t always succeed, but i try, as many other Christians do…
it seems to me that this is the goal of the writer at Freemuslims…this person wants it known that there are LARGE numbers of Muslims (not necessarily a majority, but a large portion) who believe Osama, Yasser, Saddam and Muqtata are all doing the right thing by breeding terrorists and killers…i congratulate him/her for speaking out and taking a stand against such people…
so how exactly is this dangerous?…please explain…
your one cogent point (that fundamentalists of whatever faith are more like each other than the rest of society) is very true, but sadly had nothing to do with freemuslims…
Pat Buchanan was on the Daily Show last night and I have to say that for the first time he and I agree on something. He claimed that the Bush administration invaded Iraq under false pretenses and that the war in Iraq was a mistake.
Whatever point ‘freemulims.org’ is trying to make is completely moot. I doubt if the creator of ‘freemuslims’ is even a muslim. As I claimed before, any website with links to FOXnews loses all credibility in my opinion. The media has been completely co-opted by the right-wing agenda and cannot be trusted. So you can lay that old myth of a liberal bias in the media to rest, ‘cuz that dog won’t hunt!

Insanity in individuals is something rare – but in groups, parties, nations and epochs it is the rule. -Friedrich Nietzsche
J.Q.C.: you continue to make zero sense in any logical way…i mentioned Pat Buchanan as someone with whom i am ashamed to be associated with, and you cite him as someone you can agree with on a subject we aren’t even discussing…
how exactly is Freemuslims.org’s point moot?…simply by having a link to FoxNews?…great, now Google is moot…and you’re basing your opinion of the site creator’s faith on what?…the fact that he doesn’t pigeonhole into the thought patterns you assume all “real” Muslims should have?…
however, you again make a single clear point: the media has been co-opted – - it has…just not the way you claim…and interestingly enough, nobody said anything about liberal bias until you mentioned it in response (hardly a response, really) to my post…
and you never answered my original question: how is Freemuslims.org dangerous?…
