This is an interesting story of the soldiers in Company C (Christiansburg National Guard) in Afghanistan and their reactions to the local population, being in a combat zone, and wondering what will happen next.
“It’s just like prison, but I got a gun. You can get out of Leavenworth. You can’t get out of dead.” –Sgt. Brian Bublitz
It seems that Afghanistan is a hard place to live, much less be stationed. I trust our presence there is bringing a better way of life for the people there.
You might wanna ask my dad about Afghan life, as he just got back from over there. If you ask nicely, maybe he’ll do a little write-up you can post here.
