The newest feature of Fringe has just been launched. It’s not so much a feature as it is a little som’in som’in for my regular visitors. I like making little changes to the blog every once in a while, and one way I can do that without doing too much work is to create different title graphics for the site. In newspapers, this is generally called a masthead, and features the paper’s name, along with its logo and maybe a date of establishment. The ‘Mastheads’ link above is now active.
As you can see by the entries I have listed so far, my mastheads are a bit different. The first two don’t even have names on them (as the name and blog description originally were part of the HTML document, not the image graphic. With the latest graphic, I’ve changed that, and will continue to put the name and some tagline up, as it pleases me.
For this feature, I’ll be accepting requests for new mastheads. I don’t anticipate a lot of demand for this, but if you get tired of seeing the same graphic and would like a new one, email me at fringe @ fringeblog.com and I’ll accomodate your wishes.
Cuz you know, that’s what Fringe does for you.
Inspiration for this idea came from Dooce.com.

The mastheads are cool. I especially like the cultural-montage you have going for the “About” page.
Thanks! I designed them in a spate of furious creativity.
